My name is Phil Anderson and I set up Phil Anderson Financial Services Ltd in October 2011 with the vision to be the number one financial advisory firm in the North and North East of Scotland.

Since then we have increased our staff to and now have offices in Aberdeen, Ellon and Wick, Caithness. The firm has also expanded into England with offices in Wilmslow (Cheshire) and Wetherby (Yorkshire). We also now have a mortgage adviser based in Inveness and a financial adviser based in South Queensferry with a team of advisers offering home visits to clients all over Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Caithness, Yorkshire and Cheshire.

At Phil Anderson Financial Services we offer Independent Financial Advice to our clients on a range of areas including investments, pensions, savings, mortgages and insurance. We are happy to meet them where they find the most convenient and our aim is to find our clients the most competitive financial products to suit their individual needs and circumstance.

Formerly a branch manager with the Skipton Building Society I have been involved in financial services for over 25 years and have worked as an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) for many years, holding the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Financial Planning along with the Institute of Financial Services (IFS School of Finance) Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (Adv CeMAP). I was also the first financial adviser in the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire area to complete the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice and am currently a member of The Society of Mortgage Professionals, The Personal Finance Society and The Chartered Insurance Institute.

Away from work I am involved in various local groups and charities including being an ambassador for CLAN Cancer Support. I am a past president of Ellon Bowling Club and I am the current Junior Vice President of the Bon Accord Bowling Association. In the past my firm has supported many charities including the Gathimba Edwards Foundation and CLAN. We are proud sponsors of the Ellon Bowling Club Super Six Tournament and have also been a sponsor of the Newhills Bowling Club Invitation Triples for many years. We are the main sponsor of Sunnybank Football Club who play in the North of Scotland League and we have also been a sponsor at Castleford Tigers Rugby League Football Club.

As a business we are proud to be involved with these local causes and were previously honoured with a Best Business Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. One of my proudest moments in business was winning a Northern Star Award in 2018 and also winning a Pride of Aberdeen Award for Employer of the Year. We are also a proud sponsor of the CLAN Cancer Support BookBench Trail.
